The new place has a thing called a change freeze, basically an excuse to enjoy your xmas! the way it works is simple, the years leading up to now have been really busy closing on the new year with new pieces of software being pushed out faster than a vindaloo the day after in order to meet deadlines. this resulted in very stressful times for the IT dept as a whole.
So they introduced a “change freeze”, basically from now until the start of january I’m doing feck all!
